Associates have not yet met the requirements for top level status, however:
- Associates may be highly experienced inspectors who have recently joined ASHI, or they may be novice inspectors who have completed training or otherwise entered the profession.
- Most Associates are currently working their way toward ASHI Certified Inspector status.
